Roni Erez studied music at the Cegerxwîn Academy of the Arts in Diyabakir (Turkey). After that, he was performing for years as a singer in Turkey and also in Germany. In 2007 he released his first album “Were em dînbibin”. From 2012 to 2015, Roni Erez was a member of the ensemble of Orkestra Heskêf in Diyarbakir. Most recently, he appeared in the lead role of King Meden in the musical “Sahmiran Keybanû”.
As a musician Roni Erez plays the Tembûr and Erbane. He composes Turkish and Kurdish folk music and knows as a singer the Dengbejî form very well.
