Rezan Aksoy was born in the south-east of Turkey and studied Dramaturgy and Creative Writing at the Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. After his graduation in 2015, he worked at the city theatre Kuşadası and at the Karsi Sanat theatre in Izmir as director. In 2016, he was forced to seek asylum as a political refugee in Germany and lives since then in Berlin. There, he directed in 2018 “Woyzeck” by Büchner; the premiere took place in the Südblock.
